Why do I love family portraits?

3. But really 1. How can I not feel incredibly honored and blessed to have families ask me to come into their homes and document their lives. It’s not an opportunity I take lightly. The first few days of life for a baby sister with her big brother looking on in wonder/fear/happiness/frustration it’s magical. It’s powerful. It’s beautiful.
I liked photographing families before I had my own babies, but after, forget it!! A whole new perspective!!! I LOVE families now. I get it. I can relate. I’m in the trenches with you, right now. My babies are 3 and 6 and I see you momma. I see your struggles, victories, beautifully lived in home, and you’re doing great!!!
When is the best time to update your family portraits? Right now!! They grow and change on the daily. Don’t wait for (enter reason here)!! We all have busy lives, but let’s make time to play and capture the season you are living in now.
